Oxford Job Vacancy: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Natural Theology
Grade 7: £31,604 – £38,833 with a discretionary range to £42,418 p.a.
The University proposes to appoint a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Natural Theology to be based at the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion in the Faculty of Theology and Religion. This is a fixed-term post available for two years from 1 September 2018.
This appointment is a key component of a two year research project, directed by Professor Alister McGrath, entitled “Renewal of Natural Theology: Academic Engagement and Church Outreach”. As well as undertaking research, she/he will also contribute to teaching in the area at both undergraduate and graduate level, and will support the Director in administering and developing the Ian Ramsey Centre.
The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in a discipline relevant to the field of Natural Theology, and will demonstrate the potential for producing distinguished research. She/He will have excellent communication skills and experience of public presentation of academic research or public engagement. Publications in fields of relevance to natural theology, or the work and outreach of the Ian Ramsey Centre, will be of benefit, as will familiarity with the use of Social Media in promoting events.
The deadline for applications is 12.00 noon on 19 January 2018.
